Description	:	Marjorie Hoskins, 84, of Byron Center, Mich., formerly of Lafayette, died at 9:05 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Byron Center Manor. She was born February 2, 1928, in Warren County, Ind., to the late Clarence and Josie Reynolds. She graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1946. On Dec. 1, 1946, she married Robert Hoskins. He passed away November 19, 2006. Marjorie was a hard worker all her life and retired from Mennen Realty. Surviving are two daughters, Sherry Pearson, husband Earnest, of Tolland, Conn., and Melanie Mitchell of Caledonia, Mich.; a son, Steve Hoskins, wife Leslie, of Henderson, Ky.; a sister, Betty Blofeld, of Scottsburg, Ind.;a brother, Chester Reynolds, of Smyrna, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Ryan Asbury, Matthew Westergard, Adam Hoskins and Holly Olmstead; and six great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Josie Reynolds; sisters, Anne Anderson and Eunice Lohmeyer; and a brother, Walter Reynolds. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Dayton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Michael Dominick officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Those wishing may contribute to the Dayton United Methodist Church.
