Marjorie Ellen Mullinnix was born on January 20, 1918, in Johnson County, Iowa the daughter of James and Ella (Patterson) Mullinnix. She was baptized in the Methodist Church of River Junction. Marjorie was united in marriage on June 24, late 1930’s to Marvin Walker in Iowa City, Iowa at the Methodist Church. She worked as a cook supervisor at the University of Iowa for Hillcrest dining services for 27 years. Marjorie was a member of the Old Settlers Association. She enjoyed gardening, mowing her lawn, the Chicago Cubs, coffee and sweets, especially pie, her cats and most of all spending time with family and friends. Marjorie will be dearly missed by her daughter, Ruth Walker of Lone Tree; grandson, Marvin Walker; and great-grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James Walker; five brothers, James Leo Mullinnix, John Mullinnix, Glenn Mullinnix, Stanley Mullinnix, Robert Mullinnix infant; and sister, Pauline Westfall.
