Description	:	Marjorie F. Irvin McKinney 86, of Otterbein, died at 5 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, at Westminster Village in West Lafayette. Born Oct. 19, 1920, in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jo Rifenberick Irvin. She graduated in 1937 from Paschal High School, Fort Worth, Texas. She married Harry McKinney on April 18, 1941, in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1987. Born Oct. 19, 1920, in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Jo Rifenberick Irvin. She graduated in 1937 from Paschal High School, Fort Worth, Texas. She married Harry McKinney on April 18, 1941, in Lafayette. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1987. Mrs. McKinney was a librarian at the Otterbein Public Library from 1940 to 1942, and retired from GTE as a telephone operator supervisor after 24 years of service. In retirement, she worked with family at McKinney Corp. for 13 years. She had been a member of the Otterbein Order of Eastern Star, Beulah Chapter 102 for more than 50 years, and served as the Worthy Matron in 1945 and 1992. She also was affiliated with the Otterbein American Legion, Martin Kennedy Post 125 Auxiliary, Delta Sigma Kappa sorority and the Live Wires. Surviving are six children, Rolland McKinney (wife: Alice) of Otterbein, Jerry McKinney (wife: Carol) and Mary Jo Gutwein (husband: Gilbert), both of Lafayette, Barbara Kerkhoff (husband: Bob) and Murf McKinney (fiancee: Cam Bushman), both of West Lafayette, and Harry McKinney Jr. of Otterbein.
