Description	:	Marjorie Jean Caster, 82, died at 8:45 a.m. June 8, 2020 at Vista Woods Care Center. Marge was born July 1, 1937 in Walnut IA to Clarence and Ethel Wehland Walter. She graduated from Walnut High School and then moved far away from Walnut to the “Big City” Des Moines. In Des Moines she met and married Dennis “Denny” Nulph and together they had four children. Read More	Marjorie Jean Caster, 82, died at 8:45 a.m. June 8, 2020 at Vista Woods Care Center. Marge was born July 1, 1937 in Walnut IA to Clarence and Ethel Wehland Walter. She graduated from Walnut High School and then moved far away from Walnut to the “Big City” Des Moines. In Des Moines she met and married Dennis “Denny” Nulph and together they had four children. In 1976 Marge was united in marriage to Boyd Caster and the two eventually ended up in Ottumwa where they lived and operated various businesses together in town for many years. Marge also worked in real estate, interior design and for Congressman Jim Leach. At the time of her retirement at age 73, Marge had been employed as the Church Secretary for First United Methodist Church in Ottumwa for several years. Marge loved having dinner parties at her home and was an excellent hostess and cook. She enjoyed playing cards, golfing, bowling, decorating, gardening and entertaining her family and friends. Marge is survived by her children, Michael Nulph of Ottumwa, Kenny Nulph of Des Moines and Melissa Nulph Caster of Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; step-children; brother, James (Bev) Walter of Atlantic, IA; as well as many other family members and a host of wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Boyd Caster; her daughter, Brenda Nulph Caster; her parents; and her siblings, Dorothy Corey, Robert Walter, Clara Ginn, Mary Paulsen, Charles “Chub” Walter and Don Walter. Private memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home.
