Schierling, 62, of Westfield died Friday, March 21, 2002, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Westfield Congregational Church, with the Rev. Steve Jewett officiating. Burial will be in the Westfield Public Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Mrs. Schierling was born July 1, 1939, in Westfield, the daughter of Basil and Gladys (Campbell) Hoffman. She attended school in Westfield, and later worked as a nurses aide in Sioux City, Riverside, Calif., and Akron. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Daryled Hoffman.
