OBITUARY: Marjorie Kathleen Ralston Marjorie Kathleen Ralston, 85, of Lawrence, Kan., and formerly of Terre Haute and Sullivan, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006. She was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Detroit to Braxton and Fay Benson Nash. She was an office administrator with the Student Counseling Services at Arizona State University until her retirement in 1985. Survivors include her husband, Mack Ralston, whom she married Oct. 23, 1940, in Brazil; their children, Kathleen Guthrie of Washington, D.C., Timothy Ralston of Atlanta, and Jan Mahlios of Lawrence; her sister, Nancy Schoonover of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Wiley High School. In 1956 she and her family moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., where she lived most of her life. Memorial services will be held Saturday at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence. Interment will take place at a later date in Sullivan. Arrangements are being handled by Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She served as a volunteer at the Grady Gammage Performing Arts Hall at ASU and at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Hospital. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Lawrence. Survivors include her husband, Mack Ralston; two daughters, Kathleen Guthrie, Washington, D.C., and Jan Mahilos, Lawrence; one son, Timothy Ralston, Atlanta; one sister, Nancy Schoonover, Terre Haute; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Center Ridge Cemetery, Sullivan, with the Rev. Gerald Badger officiating. OBITUARY: Services for Marjorie Kathleen Ralston, 85, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Plymouth Congregational Church. Private inurnment services will be at a later date in Sullivan, Ind. Mrs. Ralston died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. She was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Detroit, the daughter of Braxton and Faye Benson Nash. She grew up in Indiana. She was a resident of Brandon Woods Retirement Community in Lawrence. Mrs. Ralston was an office administrator with Student Counseling Services at Arizona State University and retired in 1985. She married Mack Ralston on Oct. 23, 1940, in Brazil, Ind. He survives, of the home. Survivors include a son, Timothy Ralston, Atlanta; two daughters, Kathleen Guthrie, Washington, D.C., and Jan Mahlios, Lawrence; a sister, Nancy Schoonover, Terre Haute, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
