She was born Sept. 11, 1918 the daughter of the late Homer S. and Loah (Fenton) Grooms in Adams County. She was a member of the East Liberty Church. She is survived by one son, Jack S. Evans of Lynx; three sisters, Winona Evans of Bethel, Francis Allen of Lynx and Phyllis Roush of Bethel; three brothers, Harlan Grooms of Cincinnati, Russell Grooms of West Union and William Grooms of Cincinnati; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
