She was born May 1, 1911 in Modale, Iowa the daughter of Jesse Morrow and Cora (McAlexander) Morrow. She graduated from Modale High School in 1929 and married Otis James Field March 12, 1930 in Winterset, Iowa. She was the beloved mother of Otis James, Jr. and Larry W. Field. Field, age 77, of Modale, Iowa, passed away at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital October 15, 1988. She was born May 1, 1911 in Modale, Iowa the daughter of Jesse Morrow and Cora (McAlexander) Morrow. She graduated from Modale High School in 1929 and married Otis James Field March 12, 1930 in Winterset, Iowa. She was the beloved mother of Otis James, Jr. and Larry W. Field. Marjorie was well known and loved in the Modale community. She was dedicated to helping others and found many ways to always ease the lives of those she knew. Her baking, gardening, and cooking skills were widely recognized and appreciated. She always remembered birthdays and other special days of all she knew, and her letters, full of her wit and advice, will be sorely missed by all. Her quilts, which won many blue ribbons at the Harrison County Fairs, will become cherished heirlooms for her loved ones. Marjorie was preceded in death by her son Otis James, Jr. in 1934 and a brother, Ed in 1950. Survivors include her husband, Otis, now residing in the Good Shepard Home in Blair, Nebraska; Larry and Glenda Field of Fairbanks, Alaska; two grandsons, Derek and Nathan Field of Fairbanks, Alaska; one brother, Kyle and his wife Ruby of British Columbia, Canada; one sister, Helen, and her husband Kenneth of Missouri Valley; numerous nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
