Description	:	The funeral service for Marjorie Fjeld, 87, Valley City, ND will be 11 AM, Friday, December 3, 2010 at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City. Burial will be at Memory Gardens near Valley City. Rev. Steve Mundfrom will officiate. She died at her home on November 29, 2010. Visitation will be in the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel chapel on Thursday from 4 PM until 7 PM with a prayer service being held there at 7 PM. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service in the church on Friday. Marjorie Lorraine Gustaf-son was born in Brockton, MT, June 8, 1923 to Florence (Whitney) and William Gustafson. Within weeks after Marjorie and her twin brother were born, their mother died. Her aunt and uncle, Hilma (Gustafson) and Lewis Jorgenson took her and her two brothers to their home in rural Barnes County, ND to raise. She attended school in Kathryn, ND and went on to Valley City State Teachers College. She taught school in Barnes County, including Eastedge and the Lindvold School, before she married. February 3, 1946 she married Evlyn Joseph Fjeld at Kathryn. They made their home near Kathryn. To this union, three children were born: Gary, Coralie, and John. Marjorie and Evy farmed until moving into Valley City in 1984. She worked 14 years as a janitor's aide at Jefferson Elementary School in Valley City. Evy died on September 28, 2000. She was a member of Grace Free Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at the Barnes County Library for several years. Marjorie is survived by her son, Gary (Gloria) Fjeld of Valparaiso, IN; 5 grandchildren, Beth Fjeld, Lisa (Steve) Quam, Eric (Rose) Fjeld all of WI, Ross (Michelle) Fritz of IA, and Jim Fritz of MI; 3 great grandchildren, Emily Quam, Torgor Janota, and Rocco Fritz; sister-in-law, Marilyn Jorgenson; brother-in-law, Spencer Fjeld; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Coralie Fjeld Fritz; son, John; twin brother, Milton Gustafson; sisters, Mildred (Jorgenson) Anderson and Gladys (Jorgenson) Eskelson; brothers, Lesley Jorgenson, Clarence Jorgenson, and Keith Gustafson.
