Steinbach, 77 years, of Prague, NE passed away peacefully with her family by her side Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at David Place in David City, NE. Marjorie was born March 17, 1937 in Clarkson, NE to Rudolph and Anna (Bourek) Lapacek. She grew up in the Butler and Colfax County area. She was a 1956 graduate of Schuyler High School. Marjorie married Leo Steinbach on June 26, 1956 in Schuyler, NE. After her marriage, the couple moved to Prague, NE. Marjorie helped Leo farm and drove the school bus for the Prague public school for 35 years and then drove for the North Bend Central public school for 2 years. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church at Prague. Marjorie is survived by son, Bob and wife, Brenda Steinbach of Morse Bluff, NE; daughters, Marla and husband, Gary Vyhlidal, Sharon Steinbach and Angie and husband, Tom Creps, all of Prague; sisters, Irene and husband, Ervin Stepanek of Lincoln, NE, Betty Fielder of San Francisco, CA, Norma Fielder of Dannebrog, NE, Eleanor Elam and Donna Lacina both of Rising City, NE; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo, who died May 15, 1990; and daughter, Mary Steinbach. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. John's Catholic Church in Prague. The Rev. Father Leo Kosch and The Rev. Father David Bourek will officiate. Visitation Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM all at the church. Visitation on Saturday at church 1 hr prior to service. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Prague.
