Description	:	Marjorie Coppock, 81, of the Willows, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Funeral Services at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown. Marge was born on March 24, 1938, on a farm in rural Marshall County the daughter of Wilma Hoover-McGrew. She was raised by her grandparents, Pearle and Harry Hoover. She graduated from Gilman High School in 1956. She married Richard Coppock in 1957 and they were the parents of four children. They lived in the Laurel area and divorced in 1985. She was involved in farming and agriculture all her life, working the land and raising livestock.... Read More	Marjorie Coppock, 81, of the Willows, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Funeral Services at New Hope Christian Church in Marshalltown. Marge was born on March 24, 1938, on a farm in rural Marshall County the daughter of Wilma Hoover-McGrew. She was raised by her grandparents, Pearle and Harry Hoover. She graduated from Gilman High School in 1956. She married Richard Coppock in 1957 and they were the parents of four children. They lived in the Laurel area and divorced in 1985. She was involved in farming and agriculture all her life, working the land and raising livestock. She especially loved the hog operation. She also was director/teacher of the Wee Friends Preschool in Le Grand for 10 happy years. She retired, as a secretary for the State of Iowa in 2004, after working DHS & Voc Rehab agencies for 17 years. After retirement she spent many winters in Mesa, Arizona, but always looked forward to coming home to the farm every spring. Surviving are her children, Randy (Tina) Coppock, Christina Coppock, Alan (Lisa) Coppock, and Lori (Paul) Lundberg; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a sister, Janet (Harley) Van Wyk; brothers, Gary McGrew, Dale McGrew, and infant brother, Keith McGrew; her mother, Wilma McGrew; and her grandparents, Harry and Pearle Hoover. Source: Mitchell Family Funeral Home, Marshalltown, Iowa∼Funeral services for Marjorie Mae Coppock, 81, were held on May 24, 2019, at New Hope Christian Church. Pastor Terry Collins officiated the service. Pallbearers were Dave Scott, Trevor Broekemeier, Gaylon Wunn, Mike Fisher, Adam Coppock, and Grant Pollock. She was laid to rest in Prairie View Cemetery, Gilman, Iowa. Groups in attendance included members of New Hope Christian Church, residence and staff of The Willows, N.A.C.C.
