Born in Hartford on December 29, 1925, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth (Backus) Hess. Marjorie leaves behind her children, Kevin Sheedy of Old Saybrook, Brian Sheedy and his wife Linda of Florida, Michael Sheedy and his wife Janie of Vermont, and Marjorie Altinok and her husband Deniz of Clinton. Marjorie is predeceased by her husband, Edward and her step children, Edward Morin, Gloria Morin, Bruce Morin and Alice Chappell. Marjorie lived in Clinton for over 45 years. She was a hard worker who would do anything for anyone. Her pride and joy was her family, which she cherished with all her heart. She will be missed by all who knew her. Family and friends may visit at the Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, on Sunday, April 11, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Martin Gibbs officiating. Burial to follow in Beaver Brook Cemetery. Published in the Hartford Courant on 4/10/2009.
