She grew up in Columbus and attended Kramer High School. On November 25, 1947, Marjorie was united in marriage to Raymond Sliva at St. Joseph Catholic Church, rural Bellwood. Marjorie worked at D&L Manufacturing in Columbus for 25 years before her retirement. After retiring, Marjorie went to work for the Columbus Manor where she worked for 12 years and then went to work for David Place in David City for 3 years. Marjorie enjoyed going to play bingo, playing cards, especially pitch, and doing word searches. She also loved to spend time with her family and going to family gatherings.
