Music will be furnished by Don Seim as soloist and Marcia Jelsma as organist. Marjorie Seneva Bossen was born on December 1, 1911 to Severt and Minnie (Froke) Seim on the family farm three miles southwest of Vienna, South Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Pleasant Lutheran Church southwest of Vienna. Marge attended grade school at Aaker Country School near Vienna and walked to school three miles each day. She attended high school in Vienna, and before her marriage Marge worked for Bell Telephone in Clark, Willow Lake and Vienna. On November 18, 1934 she married Peter H. Bossen in Vienna, SD where the couple made their home. She then joined the Vienna Lutheran Church and was a member there for 10 years. In her early years she played piano in a dance band. After her husband accepted a job in Watertown, Marge and Peter moved to Watertown in 1942 and joined Grace Lutheran Church. After their retirement they traveled in a small motor home to various places from 1978-1997. The Black Hills area was one of their favorite destinations. Peter passed away on January 8, 1997. Marge was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She taught Sunday School, was a choir mother, and served on the Library board, Wedding Committee and Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Mission Group, Ladies Aid, and Dorcus Circle, cutting out many quilt blocks for Dorcus. Marge belonged to a Birthday Club, Bible Study, Monday Morning Coffee Club and two card clubs. She enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, reading, singing and music, spending time with her family and having coffee with her many friends. Marge always told everyone, "the coffee pot is always on!" She especially appreciated her nieces, Dee Ness and Bonnie Vrondran who were very helpful to her and visited her often. Marge is survived by her son, Jerry (Mary) Bossen of St. Michael, MN; her granddaughter, Angela Bossen of St. Michael, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, four sisters, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
