Description	:	Marjorie V. Davis Harrigan, 89, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 27, 2015 at her home near Weir, Kan. Born July 13, 1926, near Monmouth, Kan., she was the daughter of Hugh John and Ella M. Rives Davis. She attended West Mineral High School. On June 11, 1946, Marjorie was united in marriage to Hugh A. Harrigan at Saint Bridget's Church, in Scammon. Hugh preceded her in death on March 20, 1988. Marjorie was a homemaker and worked at Maude Norton Memorial Hospital as a cook's helper, cleaning woman and a laundry worker from 1979 to 1988. Her most important job was taking care of her family and hanging out with her children and grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Saint Bridget's Catholic Church, in Scammon. She was a member of the Saint Bridget's Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing quilts and lap robes, crocheting rugs, working word search puzzles and taking genealogy trips with her daughter. She donated over 25 baby blankets to the Free Shop, in Columbus, for mothers with newborn babies. Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy E. Davis, Arthur L. Davis, Beulah Overby, Onetta Hush and Betty Davis. Survivors include her children, Ella (Jack) Buzzard, of rural Weir, and Emma (Earl) Vore, of Parsons, Hugh E. (Linda) Harrigan, of Joplin, Angelo (Jean Marie) Harrigan, of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Daniel Harrigan, of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandsons, Shawn Harrigan, of Pittsburg, Jason Thomas, of Parsons, and Arron Thomas, of Independence, Kan.; a grand dog Sugar; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2nd, at Saint Bridget's Catholic Church, in Scammon, with Father Chrysostom Ah Maung officiating. Burial will be in Saint Bridget's Cemetery. Parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1st, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, in Weir.
