Marjory May Crabtree, was born on April 9, 1932 at Copeland, Kansas, the daughter of John Burton and Ruth Ester (Thompson) Crabtree. Gillespie, 74, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2007, at the North Iowa Mercy Medical Center, Mason City. Marjory May Crabtree, was born on April 9, 1932 at Copeland, Kansas, the daughter of John Burton and Ruth Ester (Thompson) Crabtree. She attended rural schools in the Iowa Falls area, attended the Iowa Falls High School in her 9th and 10th grade and the Radcliff High School in her 11th and 12th grade graduating with the class of 1950. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Robert Knott in 1950. To this union four children were born, Robert, Galen, Becky and Valerie. The couple later divorced. She was united in marriage to Everette Owen Tjarks until his death in 1979. On September 2, 1983, she was united in marriage to Howard E. Gillespie. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years, and had worked for the Scenic Manor Care Facility for ten years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, and a former member of the Ladies of the Moose. Marjory Gillespie is survived by her husband, Howard Gillespie of Iowa Falls; her children, Robert (Bette) Knott of Newton, Galen Knott of Iowa Falls, Becky (fiancée, Roger Miller) Statler of Iowa Falls, Valerie (Kendall) Clarke of Iowa Falls, Dave (LeAnn) Tjarks of Goldfield, Sherri (Dave) Pickering of Lakewood, Colorado, Anita (Donnie) Reed of Alden, Marty (Janelle) Tjarks of Mill Grove, Missouri, Harlen (Deb) Gillespie of Cedar Rapids, Cheryl (Max) Clark of Iowa Falls and Jim (Karen) Gillespie of Iowa Falls; twenty eight grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Kathryn (Jim) Rankin of Iowa Falls. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Everette Tjarks; one grandson, Nathan Lynch; and four brothers, Ted Crabtree, Glen Crabtree, Forrest Crabtree and Don Crabtree. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, March 27, at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with burial to follow in the Sherman Township Cemetery, rural Buckeye, Iowa.
