Description	:	Marjory Neely, 97, of Corydon, Iowa passed away at the Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center early Thursday morning, January 15th, 2015 after a lengthly illness. Born in Galion, Ohio on April 11, 1917, she was the youngest of three children born to Clara Stogie and Silas Shumaker. After graduation from Galion High School she worked for a short time as a seamstress at Ohio Overcoat Co. prior to meeting and marrying Keith Tedrow Neely of Corydon in 1937. Read More	Marjory Neely, 97, of Corydon, Iowa passed away at the Corydon Nursing & Rehab Center early Thursday morning, January 15th, 2015 after a lengthly illness. Born in Galion, Ohio on April 11, 1917, she was the youngest of three children born to Clara Stogie and Silas Shumaker. After graduation from Galion High School she worked for a short time as a seamstress at Ohio Overcoat Co. prior to meeting and marrying Keith Tedrow Neely of Corydon in 1937. After living many years of their married life in Galion, they returned to Corydon in 1963 where she lived until her death. She worked at Neely Mfg. Co. for several years in the silk screening department. She loved gardening and was an avid reader. Marge enjoyed anything artistically creative and was particularly skilled at needlework. Golf, fishing, and traveling were also among her favorite activities. After retirement, she and Keith spent the winter months in South Texas. Surviving family include Ted L. Neely and wife Carolyn of Schulenburg, TX, Ned S. Neely and wife Barbara of London, OH, and Susan Neely Street and husband Calvin of Humeston, IA. There are nine grandchildren; Jenna Street, Jeff, Tim, Pete, Ned (Chip) Neely, David Neely, Laura Neely Hamilton, Kathy Brown, and Michael Neely Brown, as well as fifteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister-in-law, Bette Neely Noble and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband of 55 years (Keith), daughter Sally Ann Neely Brown, a sister Edna Chillik, and a brother, Paul Shumaker.
