Eickman, son of Neal & Donna Scofield Eickman, was born on December 16, 1951, at Belleville, Ks., and passed away on February 27, 1984 at the Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 32 years, 2 months and 11 days. Eickman, son of Neal & Donna Scofield Eickman, was born on December 16, 1951, at Belleville, Ks., and passed away on February 27, 1984 at the Lincoln General Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 32 years, 2 months and 11 days. Mark attended school at Excelsior No. 66 through the 8th grade, Belleville High School and North Central Kansas Vo-Tech School. He was united in marriage to Susan Lubben on March 13, 1971 and to this union two children were born, Joanna Ruth and Benjamin Matthew. He was a lifetime resident of this community, and was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Chester, Nebraska and was active in Church activities and the church choir. He was a past master of the Chester Lodge No. 298 AF & AM, Chief of Chester Rescue Squad, Officer of the Chester Fire Department and was a member of the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife Susan; one daughter, Joanna; one son, Benjamin; parents, Neal and Donna Eickman of Chester, Ne.; one brother, John Eickman and wife Kandy of Chester, Ne.; two sisters, Mrs. Betsy Hergott and husband Gary of Hebron, Ne., and Mrs. Nancy Richards and husband Steve of Eagle, Ne., other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Chester, Nebraska, Thursday, March 1, 1984 at two o'clock P.M., conducted by Reverend Jean T. Samuelson and Reverend Douglas Ferguson. Organist was Mrs. Mary Riggs, soloist Kenneth Hoge and pianist Reverend Jean Samuelson. Casket bearers were Williams Riggs, William L. Navis, Neal Dake, Wayne Dake, Vernon Gebers, Phil Snapp, Charles Vieselmeyer and Alan Parter. Honorary casket bearers were Bob Willson, Dean Russell, Wilber Davis, Kermit Roop, Max Larkins and Thomas E. Boyer. Graveside services by Chester Masonic Lodge No. 298 AF & AM, with interment in the Chester Cemetery.
