IF that is the case, and IF they have the correct info on their children, then Mark was not born in New Hampshire, but in England. Some records list his birth as Stratford, Coos, NH... but there were no Young's listed in Stratford census reports in 1790 or 1800. Census records list him as born in NH and one in ME. About 1806 he married Sally Abbott. Her parents names are not known. Some of their children were Berlania, Iretus, Mary, Martha, Mark Jr, Belinda, Bart, and Antipas. There were several other children. In 1840 they had 2 daughters under 5yrs (one was Belinda, one unknown); 4 daughters 15-19yrs (Mary, Martha, and 2 unknowns); and 1 son age 10-14yrs (Mark Jr, although he should have been listed in the 5-9 age group). In 1830 they had 2 daughters under 5yrs (Martha & one unknown); 1 daughter 5-9yrs (Mary); 1 daughter 10-14yrs (unknown); and 2 sons age 10-14yrs (unknown -- although one of these might have been Bart). They can't be found in 1820; if Iretus was born in Ossipee in 1810 they may have been there but there are no 1820 census reports for Carroll County. Age: 82yrs Note: The month on the headstone is not clear. Only a year was written on the death certificate written up later. There is no headstone here for Sally. The one headstone in the plot lists Mark Sr, sons Mark Jr and Bart, and daughter Berlania. Sally's name wasn't added to the stone, even though she died just 3 years after Mark Sr.
