Description	:	Lynn was born to Mathias and Lorene Sigaty in Roslyn, South Dakota on May 31, 1931. He married the love of his life, Jewel "Julie" Viviette Hong on November 10, 1951, in Richmond, Indiana. They were high school classmates at Roslyn High School, but didn't date until Lynn had graduated in 1949. Both attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. Read More	Lynn was born to Mathias and Lorene Sigaty in Roslyn, South Dakota on May 31, 1931. He married the love of his life, Jewel "Julie" Viviette Hong on November 10, 1951, in Richmond, Indiana. They were high school classmates at Roslyn High School, but didn't date until Lynn had graduated in 1949. Both attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in November 1950. Following their marriage, he was stationed in Germany for thirteen months while his young bride lived in South Dakota with her parents until his return. It was during this time that their first child was born. Once back in the states the family moved frequently as he continued his Air Force career. This included moves to Sacramento, California, Bismarck, North Dakota, Honolulu, Hawaii, Grand Forks, North Dakota, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Grand Forks, North Dakota (again), Korea, and Redlands, California. Their son was born in Bismarck, and son another son in Hawaii. Lynn always said he designed his own military moves to try and be as close to their South Dakota families as often as possible. Lynn was proud of the two mission churches the family were members of during his career. The first was in the Kalihe Valley in Honolulu where he was the landscape leader and used a Ford tractor and scoop to prepare the ground for the building site of the Lutheran Mission Church. The second was in Emerado, North Dakota. He retired from the Air Force in 1971 while living in Redlands, California, and the family continued to live there while he completed his college education earning a bachelor’s degree in administration from California State University, San Bernardino. He worked for the County of San Bernardino until he found the climate too hot for him and decided to move to what he referred to as “God’s Country,” Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1982. He then started a second career with the United States Postal Service from which he retired in 1995. He and Julie were members of Ascension Lutheran Church for ten years. In 1998 they decided that Bethel Lutheran Church was the place for them! He became very involved in the many opportunities offered to its members including being a volunteer maintenance man, pinochle, and bridge for seniors. Bridge became a passion for him and he continued to play weekly both at Bethel and at Summit Glen where he moved following Julie’s passing. He was a walking advertisement for the wonderful benefits of living at Summit Glen and told whoever was interested about the three gourmet meals a day! People never saw him without his Summit Glen name tag or his tiny angel pin worn in memory of his wife Julie who collected angels. Lynn was a friendly man who loved hearing other people’s life stories. He was creative and talented in woodworking, building, car refurbishing, photography, and had the ability to repair just about anything. He was an avid reader as long as it was nonfiction. He loved family get togethers that always included games, especially dominoes! His dream was to have all three of his children in Colorado and that dream eventually came true.
