Description	:	Died in Hanover, Jamaica. Marlin was born in Norfolk, NE, the son of Earl and Arlene (Schilling) Meisinger. He attended Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1969. He attended the General Motors School in Omaha and returned to Norfolk where he was employed at Norfolk Truck. The following year, Marlin enrolled at Wayne State College and earned his degree in Industrial Arts. On August 5, 1972, Marlin married Carla McCoy at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Marlin was born in Norfolk, NE, the son of Earl and Arlene (Schilling) Meisinger. He attended Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Norfolk High School in 1969. He attended the General Motors School in Omaha and returned to Norfolk where he was employed at Norfolk Truck. The following year, Marlin enrolled at Wayne State College and earned his degree in Industrial Arts. On August 5, 1972, Marlin married Carla McCoy at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norfolk. They lived in Wayne while Marlin finished his degree. After his graduation from college, the couple moved to Wahoo where Marlin taught Industrial Arts at Wahoo High School for five years. They returned to Norfolk when Marlin was hired as an estimator at Crafts, Inc. He became the general manager and later purchased the company. At the time of his death, Marlin was the president and owner of Crafts Inc. Marlin was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he served on the Church Council, the Property Committee and the Search Committee. He also served on the Regional Board for Varco Pruden Steel Company; Northeast Community College Board of Governors; and the Norfolk Country Club Board. He was an active member of the Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce. His hobbies included golf and being an avid sports fan of the Norfolk Panthers, the Huskers and NASCAR. Marlin enjoyed woodworking and doing many projects for his family. He took great delight in spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and his many friends. Marlin is survived by his parents; his wife of 38 years; his children-daughter Amy and Ben Ries, of Norfolk and son Mark and Kara Meisinger, of Omaha; his siblings-Ardel and Judy Meisinger, of Winston-Salem, NC, Janet Meisinger, of Omaha, Loren and Kathy Meisinger, of Shorewood, IL, and Deanne Meisinger, of Omaha; many nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES 10:30am Saturday, November 13, 2010, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Reverend Becky Beckmann will officiate. Burial Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
