He was born December 1, 1928 in DeKalb County; a retired Mechanic for Empire Berol; a member of Masonic Lodge #122 of Shelbyville and a member of the Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Lavander Hodges and Myrtle Ashford Dennis. Read More	Marlin Hodges Jr. (December 1, 1928 - November 20, 2011) Mr. Marlin Hodges Jr. 82 of Shelbyville died Sunday, November 20th, at Heritage Medical Center. He was born December 1, 1928 in DeKalb County; a retired Mechanic for Empire Berol; a member of Masonic Lodge #122 of Shelbyville and a member of the Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Lavander Hodges and Myrtle Ashford Dennis. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Homer Dennis; a son, James Marlin Hodges; two brothers, Buck Dennis and Glenn Dennis. He is survived by a daughter, Margaret (James) Yates of Shelbyville; brother, Billy Dennis of Shelbyville; four sisters, Florine Kinslow and Carolyn Hall of Murfreesboro, Minnie Thomas of Manchester, Vada Summers of Pinson, Alabama; five Grandchildren; thirteen Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22nd, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Rev. Donnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Lynch Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. .
