Description	:	Jean Dinger, 82, of Hecla, SD passed away November 5, 2019 at Primrose Cottages surrounded by her children. Marlys Jean Bushby, the daughter of LeRoy and Minnie (Engle) Bushby, was born in Aberdeen, SD on June 10, 1937. She was the youngest of 11 children. Read More	Jean Dinger, 82, of Hecla, SD passed away November 5, 2019 at Primrose Cottages surrounded by her children. Marlys Jean Bushby, the daughter of LeRoy and Minnie (Engle) Bushby, was born in Aberdeen, SD on June 10, 1937. She was the youngest of 11 children. She grew up in the Hecla area and graduated from Hecla High School, where she was active in music, basketball, cheerleading and tennis. On December 9, 1955, Jean married Harold L. Dinger at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hecla. They made their home and farmed east of Hecla. They had four children, Teresa (Tom) Lilla, Kelly Dinger, Kim Dinger-Kipp, all of Hecla and Stacey (Jason) Woods, Centerville, MN; six grandchildren, Pat Lilla and Mandy Lilla, Justin (Meghan) North and Eric North, Haley Hanneman and Brooklyn Hanneman; step-daughter, Tannis (Jacob) Carson; five great-grandchildren, Taiya, Autumn, Addy, Briggs and Lennon; and two step-great-grandchildren, Kellin and Kohen. She is also survived by her siblings, Roy Bushby, Winnie Ingel, Martha Drazil and Myrtis (Virgil) Frohling. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, four brothers, Clarence, Orville, Harlan, and infant brother Frankie, and two sisters, Lavonne and Connie. Jean and Harold moved into Hecla in 2009. Harold passed away on April 10, 2014. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, tending to her flower gardens, ceramics, meeting friends for coffee, making Special K bars (grandkids favorite), and playing Skip-Bo with everyone. She also enjoyed working part-time at the bowling alley for Jack & Evie Telin. Jean moved to Aberdeen, SD to Primrose Cottages in September of 2018. There she enjoyed playing Skip-Bo and bingo with the staff, residents and visitors, watching game shows, reading magazines and doing word puzzles. A prayer service will be held on Sunday evening, November 10, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hecla. Her memorial service will be Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Hecla City Cemetery.
