Description	:	Marlys Kramer, 82, of Sheffield, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Marlys Joan Bielefeld was born in Rockwell, Iowa, a daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Meyer) Bielefeld, on December 22, 1932. She attended country school through eighth grade then Sheffield High School. She graduated from Allen Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Waterloo in 1954. Marlys Joan Bielefeld was born in Rockwell, Iowa, a daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Meyer) Bielefeld, on December 22, 1932. She attended country school through eighth grade then Sheffield High School. She graduated from Allen Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Waterloo in 1954. Marlys married her high school sweetheart, Marvin Kramer, October 3, 1954, at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield. Marlys worked at various hospitals and finished her nursing career as nurse at Sheffield Public School. After Marvin's retirement in 1992 they moved to Kansas where they lived until October 2010. They returned to Sheffield. Marvin cared for her at home until her declining health required additional care, which she received at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Her family is grateful for the staff who cared for her these last months. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family: husband of 61 years, Marvin Kramer; daughters: Kim (Doug) Pickerel, Vail, AZ; Patricia (Murray) McKinnin, New Tazewell, TN; Kathy (Scott) Clark, Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren: Samuel Pickerel, Chelsey (Levi) Masters, Jacob (Allison) Clark, Matthew Clark, Lucas Clark, Abby McKinnin, Brenna McKinnin; great grandchildren: Sophie and Addison Masters. Marlys is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Bielefeld. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, June 12, at Retz Funeral Home, Sheffield. Funeral services will be 10:30 Saturday, June 13, at Zion St. John Lutheran Church in Sheffield, with Rev. G. Kim Wills presiding. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
