Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. 27 Feb 2010 edition of the Joplin Globe on page 6A, column 4 ------ Marolyn Zelma Crouch, age 75, of Joplin, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010, at St. John's Hospital, following an illness. Marolyn was born on June 24, 1934, in Racine, Mo., the daughter of the late Noel and Ida (Hill) Gilstrap. She has been a lifetime area resident. She worked as a caregiver for Oxford Healthcare and also, operated the elevator at the Frisco Building, retiring in 1997. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had many friends that were a special part of her life as well. Another passion of Marolyn's life was playing BINGO, especially when she won. She married Roger Crouch on Feb. 2, 1954. Marolyn is survived by one daughter, Zelma Allen and husband, Larry, of Baxter Springs, Kan.; one brother, Gerald "Bud" Gilstrap and wife, Sue, of Grove, Okla.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Ron Crouch; by her twin sister, Carolyn Gilstrap; and sister, Nola Durbin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Brother Jeff Street will officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Burkhart Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Chapel.
