Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh is in charge of arrangements. He was born in Lewellen on March 2, 1923 to Andrew Guy and Mertie Roberts. Bud grew up in Lewellen and spent most of his young life on a farm with his parents, five brothers and five sisters. He was a star football player on Lewellen's six-man football team. At 19, Bud joined the Army during World War II and served many months of combat duty overseas. He had achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant by the time he was discharged in 1946. Bud married Evelyn Williamson in 1953 in Portland, Oregon, where he spent most of his adult life. Bud had a successful career as a salesman and builder, building more than 40 apartments and homes. He retired to Southern California to be near his brother, Charles, and his niece, Kathy McCormac. Bud was a devoted father and grandfather. His guidance, support and humor were a part of each relationship. His honesty and strength of character can only be outweighed by his com passion as a dad. He will be missed enormously. Bud is survived by his daughter, Debbie Lea, her husband, Graeme Lea and their two sons, Ryan Marquis and Dylan, of Melbourne, Australia; his ex-wife, Eyelyn and step-children, Eddie and Robert Williamson, Sherri Norlander and their families; brothers, Dale, Charles and Myron Roberts and sisters, Carol McCormac, Marilyn Roberts and Patricia Roberts and their families. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ray S. Roberts, Richard F. Roberts, and his sisters, Pauline Seaver and Barbara Butler.
