Born in Nelson County, April 29, 1875, he was the son of the late Reuben P. and Amelia Campbell Fitzgerald. He was a member of Evergreen Christian Church and was a past deacon and elder. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Cora B. Fitzgerald; six sons, Mitchell W. Fitzgerald, Tyro, Troy M. Fitzgerald, Madison Heights, Douglas C. Fitzgerald, Lynchburg, and D. Hall Fitzgerald, Williamsburg; a sister, Mrs. J. E. Coffey, Massies Mill; a brother, Conrad Fitzgerald, Staunton; nine grandchildren and two great...
