Finley died at 11:05 a.m. Jan. 27, 1989, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, 1001 Pennsylvania. He was born Aug. 9, 1910, in Blakesburg to Theodore and Maude Millard Kirfman. He moved from Washington to Ottumwa in 1985. He had farmed and was an employee of Mulligan Furniture Store. He was a member of Blakesburg Christian Church and Odd Fellows Lodge at Washington. He married Martha Edna Barker on Nov. 4, 1940, in Ottumwa. He is survived by his wife; three sons, Glen of West Branch, Roy of Texarkana, Ark., and David of Ainsworth; a daughter, Zelda Woodruff of Sulphur Springs, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by three sons, Gary, Ray [sic] Eudeen and Benjamin Lyle. The service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Cecil I. Simonton of Davis Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Ernest Buchholz, Albert Gavin, Paul Chisman, and Mark and Matt Goode. {Only 5 pallbearers named.)
