Description	:	Wayne County Democrat Febuary 1921 Martha Chapman Miller was born February 23, 1856, and departed this life February 22, 1921, at the aged 65 years. She was the daughter of the late A.J. and Nancy Chapman and the oldest of a family of ten children, five of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to David T. She was the daughter of the late A.J. and Nancy Chapman and the oldest of a family of ten children, five of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to David T. Miller on April, 18, 1872. To this union were born nine children, two, Arthur and Lavaughn, dying in their infancy. The living are, namely, Luther, and H. F. Miller and Mrs. Lulu Dotts, of Corydon, Iowa; Jane Miller and Izeal Porter of Cambria, Iowa; A. A. Miller of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and mrs. Myrtle Moore of Grinnell, Iowa, all being present. Deceased was converted and joined the Baptist church of Cambria, Iowa, in her girlhood days and was a faithful member of that church, until coming to Corydon a few years ago, where she united with the Corydon Baptist church and remained a faithful member until death. She was born in Washington township, this ocunty, and livied the greater part of her life there. Coming to Corydon in 1915, where she with her husband had come to make their home and enjoy the remainder of their days from the fruits of their labor. She was a consecrated Christian woman, faithful in her duties to God, and to her church. She was a king and loving mother, having a kind and cheerful disposition, and was always doing what good she could to make others comfortable and happy. She will be greatly missed in the church and home, but we know that she has gone to that better home, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, seven children and sixteen grandchildren; two, brothers, Lon and Ed Chapman, of Fredonia, Kansas and two sisters, Mrs. D. F. Clark, of Corydon, and Mrs. Frances Chapman Steele, of Chariton, Iowa besides a host of relatives and friends.
