Mrs. Haseleu passed away last Wednesday at a Valley City hospital. She was born August 28, 1878, in Germany, the daughter of Ernest and Aurelia Henker. She came to the United States with her parents in 1881. She was married to Frank Haseleu on October 28, 1893, at LaMoure, N. Dak. Read More	Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Martha) Haseleu, age 823, were held Sunday afternoon from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. A. G. Schilling officiating. Mrs. Haseleu passed away last Wednesday at a Valley City hospital. She was born August 28, 1878, in Germany, the daughter of Ernest and Aurelia Henker. She came to the United States with her parents in 1881. She was married to Frank Haseleu on October 28, 1893, at LaMoure, N. Dak. They farmed in LaMoure County, south of Litchville until about 1905 when they moved to Valley City, where they have since made their home. A large number of relatives and old time friends of our community remember Mrs. Haseleu from those pioneer days. In recent months she has been in failing health due largely to old age. In recent months she has made her home at Sheyenne Memorial Hospital, since she was unable to remain at home due to her failing health. The deceased is survived by her husband, one daughter, Elsie Olson, of Minot, N. Dak.; two brothers, Paul of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Otto of Grankukm, Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Elsie and Hattie of Salem, Oregon.
