Description	:	from Thursday 15 August 1907 Jacksonville FL Times Union and 1880 census: Mrs Martha Trowbridge died at Arcadia, where she had gone to visit her son Claude and his family, after an illness of only a day or two of paralysis of the lungs. Her body was brought back (to Waldo) and the funeral services were performed at the residence by Rev FMC Eads, pastor of the Methodist church, of which she was long a member, taking a prominent part in church work and being president of the Woman's Home Mission society, at the time of her death. Her body was brought back (to Waldo) and the funeral services were performed at the residence by Rev FMC Eads, pastor of the Methodist church, of which she was long a member, taking a prominent part in church work and being president of the Woman's Home Mission society, at the time of her death. The Pythian Sisters formed in procession at the house and headed a long line of relatives and friends to the city cemetery where they conducted their beautiful ritual service. Mrs Trowbridge was held in loving esteem by members of all the churches and will be sadly missed by our whole community. She was 56 years old. She leaves the following children: Lawrence, Claude, Earle, Lee, Miss Florence and Mrs Clyde Johnson. She was the spouse of Orlando Trowbridge in the 1880 census in Illinois that noted her father was born in New York and her mother born in England.
