Description	:	Martha Ann Pageler was born December 14, 1922, in Sterling, Colorado, the daughter of the Rev. Franz O. and Ida (Wojahn) Bunge. The family moved to Grimes, Iowa, when Martha was a child, then moved to Grant Township, rural LeMars, when her father accepted a call at Christ Lutheran Church. Martha attended country school in Grant Township, then continued her education at Le Mars High School, graduating in 1940. She also attended Western Union (Westmar) College in Le Mars. Read More	Martha Ann Pageler was born December 14, 1922, in Sterling, Colorado, the daughter of the Rev. Franz O. and Ida (Wojahn) Bunge. The family moved to Grimes, Iowa, when Martha was a child, then moved to Grant Township, rural LeMars, when her father accepted a call at Christ Lutheran Church. Martha attended country school in Grant Township, then continued her education at Le Mars High School, graduating in 1940. She also attended Western Union (Westmar) College in Le Mars. Following her education, she worked at the Le Mars Daily Sentinel and Le Mars Mutual Insurance. She married LaVern Pageler August 30, 1946, her father presiding over the ceremony at Christ Lutheran Church. Martha assisted with farming and was a homemaker. In 1981, the couple moved to the family farm near Merrill, Iowa, then December 14, 2006, Martha moved to a care center in Le Mars. She was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. She taught first grade Sunday, Vacation Bible School plus played the organ for numerous weddings and funerals. Surviving were her husband LaVern ; a son Evan Pageler and his wife Janice; a son Loren Pageler; grandchildren Timothy Pageler and his wife Bevyn and Stephen Pageler and his wife Lisa; a sister Esther Meyer living in Arizona; and a brother Roland Bunge and his wife Claire who live in Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Martin; a brother and sister-in-law Victor and Erma Bunge; and a brother-in-law William Meyer.
