Harper has been mistakenly intertwined with Martha Drake Harper who was married to James W. Harper. On Ancestry, unfortunately, many sources come up as hints for both as if they are the same person. Martha Ann Cox, daughter of Abram Cox and Jemima Mills is buried in Pitt County, NC in the Abram Cox Family Cemetery. She died in 1900. Martha A. Drake born in 1820, and died in 1909 is buried at Booth-Harper Family Cemetery in Nash County, NC. Some of the children attributed to her and James W. Harper are William Benjamin Harper, Mary F. Harper, and Margaret T. Harper. They are buried in the same cemetery as her. The only know child based on these findings for Martha A. Cox Harper is a daughter, Elizabeth Harper who is the only child named to Martha and John in an 1880 census.
