Description	:	Martha B. (Bradford) Belanger, 57, of 55 Highland Ave., Adams, died Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2005, at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield. Death followed a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Adams on March 15, 1947, she was the daughter of Stephen T. and M. Wilmer (McBride) Bradford. She was educated in Adams schools and was a graduate of the former Adams High School with the class of 1964. Death followed a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Adams on March 15, 1947, she was the daughter of Stephen T. and M. Wilmer (McBride) Bradford. She was educated in Adams schools and was a graduate of the former Adams High School with the class of 1964. She graduated from St. Mary's College, Hooksett, N.H. in 1969 with a bachelor of arts degree. She later attended Lesley College, Boston, where she received her master's degree in education. She furthered her education during her professional career and was three credits away from a doctorate degree. She worked summers at Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, before securing a position with the Adams Memorial High School where she taught business subjects. She later transferred to Hoosac Valley High School, Cheshire, where she taught until her retirement after 35 years in the field. She was a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs and St. Thomas Aquinas/St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. She leaves her husband, Richard C. Belanger, whom she married June 28, 1969, in St. Thomas Aquinas Church; a son, Jacob "Brad" Belanger of Charlotte, N.C.; two daughters, Megan Smith and her husband, Keith, of Hopedale and Danielle Erdmann and her husband, Keith, of Springfield; a grandson, Jacob Smith; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins in the area. FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Martha Belanger will be celebrated Saturday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m., in St. Thomas Aquinas Church with the Rev. Daniel Boyle officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours and a prayer service will be Saturday, Jan. 15, 8-9:30, in the McBride Funeral Home, 6 Liberty St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
