Her parents were Louis and Christine Hochstein Marx. She was married to Joseph Leise on December 27, 1955 in Bow Valley, NE and became the mother of five step children, three boys and two girls. They lived in Wynot, NE until they sold the farm and moved to Yankton in 1969. She was a very talented piano player and played in a dance band for many years in Nebraska and South Dakota. Martha is survived by her step children; Roger Leise of Omaha, NE, Lori Hinton of Houston, TX, Jerome Leise of Spokane, WA, Margaret Jensen of San Ramon, CA and Sidney Leise of Vail, IA. She has 17step-granchildren and 17 step-great grandchildren *** MANILLA, Iowa -- Martha E. LEISE, 101, of Manilla, formerly of Yankton, S.D., died Jan. 17, 2007. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Yankton. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Yankton. Born Jan. 19, 1905, in Bow Valley, Neb. Her parents were Louis and Christine (Hochstein) Marx. Married to Joseph Leise on Dec. 27, 1955, in Bow Valley. They lived in Wynot, Neb., until they sold the farm and moved to Yankton in 1969. Preceded in death by five siblings; and her husband, Joseph, who passed away April 1990.
