Description	:	Sioux Falls - Martha Elizabeth Hohm, former longtime resident of Huron, died at home in the presence of her family on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Sioux Falls, S.D. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at First Presbyterian Church in Huron with Dr. William Pfautz and Rev. Kevin Channell officiating. A private burial service will be held prior to the Memorial Service. Arrangements are under the direction of Welter Funeral Home of Huron. Read More	Sioux Falls - Martha Elizabeth Hohm, former longtime resident of Huron, died at home in the presence of her family on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at Sioux Falls, S.D. Martha Elizabeth was born on Jan. 2, 1918, to John and Jeanne (Wright) Campbell at Mitchell, S.D. She lived on the family farm until she graduated from Mitchell High School. She attended Huron College for two years on a Presbyterian Church scholarship. She moved to Chicago, Ill., where she attended McCormack Business College and became the office manager for Security Mutual Casualty Company. She married Ted Hohm on Sept. 24, 1939. They lived in Huron for 50 years before moving to Prince of Peace Retirement Center at Sioux Falls in 1995. Martha lived a very fulfilled life raising five children and enjoying the activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Martha was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Huron serving as Elder, Sunday School teacher, and President of Women's Fellowship. She participated in many community activities including the Salvation Army Board, PEO Chapter AN, Huron Auxiliary Board, PTA, and the South Dakota Medical Auxiliary. In honor of her support of the fine arts her family established the Paladino-Hohm Sculpture Garden at the Washington Pavilion at Sioux Falls. Survivors include her three daughters, Susan Hohm (Dick Thomas) of Aberdeen, Linda (Terry) Nielsen of Sioux Falls, and Marsha Hohm-Paladino (Jack Paladino) of Sioux Falls; two sons, Byron (Jan) Hohm of Sioux Falls, and John (Jane) Hohm of Prosser, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Jacobs of Shreveport, La.; Mung Shatudompun foreign exchange student from Thailand; and many loving relatives and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Ted; three brothers, Arthur, Robert, and Scott Campbell; and one sister, Katherine Wollman. Published in the Aberdeen News on 11/11/2004.
