Description	:	Martha Armour Stuart was born in Maple Valley, Ontario, Canada, on Jan. 18, 1860. She was married in Toronto on April 20, 1891 to Alfred Wellington Stuart (1863-1913). Of this union three children were born two of whom survive to mourn her loss. She joined the Dunedin Presbyterian church, September 2, 1877 and was always a conscientious and faithful Christian. She came to Washington in 1900 and to Chelan in 1901 where she immediately joined the Methodist Episcopal church of which she has remained a constant faithful member.
