(__) Jones The "Ellen Porter Jones" who died at Adams, Mass. on March 18,1872 (one death record) or March 18,1873 ( a second death record) seems likely the same woman depicted on this gravestone. It is possible that the monument, which seems to have been created years after her death from its appearance, just got her dates wrong, and her married name was of little or no consequence since she was married for a very brief period of time.
