Description	:	LAUREL - Martha Ellen Fink went to be with our Lord at Valley Health Care Center on Jan 12, 2006, due to natural causes. The daughter of Charles P. and Lottie E. Stadalman, she was born on Aug. 8, 1908, in Lincoln, Mo. The family later moved to Oklahoma in 1909, then to Darby in 1917. They then moved to Laurel in 1918, where she was educated and resided until the time of her death. She married Ellis Fink on August 1926 in Red Lodge. Read More	LAUREL - Martha Ellen Fink went to be with our Lord at Valley Health Care Center on Jan 12, 2006, due to natural causes. The daughter of Charles P. and Lottie E. Stadalman, she was born on Aug. 8, 1908, in Lincoln, Mo. The family later moved to Oklahoma in 1909, then to Darby in 1917. They then moved to Laurel in 1918, where she was educated and resided until the time of her death. She married Ellis Fink on August 1926 in Red Lodge. Martha worked for many years at various stores in Laurel. She spent the greatest number of years working as a clerk in the grocery business for O. M. Wold and Thriftway. Martha was well known for her expertise with the knitting needles. She made many beautiful garments for herself and her family. She also spent many hours knitting a great number of wool stocking caps for the sailors during World War II. She loved to go fishing every chance she had. For many years, Cooney Reservoir was her home away from home. She could always catch fish when no one else could. Her second home away from home was the Laurel Bowling Lanes. She bowled for 55 years and attended numerous National Bowling Tournaments throughout the U.S. during that time. Martha was one of the first bowlers to be inducted into the Laurel Bowling Hall of Fame. She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Belinak of Laurel; and two sons, Charles (Jr.) Fink of Laurel and Leo (Erlys) Fink of Billings; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis, in 1965; and two sisters, Lois Russell and Grace Stadalman. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel, with interment to follow in the Laurel Cemetery. Memorials to charity of one's choice.
