Description	:	Mrs. Manz Funeral Held At Juanita Funeral services were conducted in Juanita Methodist church Wednesday for Mrs. William (Martha) Manz, 81, who died Monday in Carrington hospital after being in failing health several months. Conducting the rites was Rev. Gerald Fike, Mrs. Thomas Edland was soloist, and Mrs. Alf Stangeland organist. Casket bearers were Lorney Fousek, Lannes Ellingson, Oscar Erickson, Russell Nelson, John Hov, and Clinton Anderson. Burial was in McHenry cemetery. Knott Funeral Home, Carrington, was in charge of arrangements. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Neuman, Martha Neuman was born in Berlin Germany, July 26, 1884. She came to America in 1888, the family settling in Iowa. She was married Feb. 12, 1907, to William Manz at Asher, Iowa. The couple moved to a homestead near Warwick, N.D., in 1907 and farmed there until 1940, when they moved to a farm in the McHenry area. In 1956 they moved into Juanita. Mr. Manz died in 1965. Surviving are sons, John and Martin of McHenry, Paul of New Rockford, and Carl of Spokane, Wash., and daughters, Mrs. Gabe (Minnie) Gedrose of New Rockford, and Mrs. Les (Christine) Shellabarger, Curlew, Iowa; two brothers, Martin and William Neuman, Emmetsburg, Iowa, 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
