Description	:	Martha Esther Nixon, 72, died Sunday at 8:30 a.m. At Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua, after a 10 day illness. She was born March 19, 1901 at Bonaparte, to William and Lydia Ellen Russell Mitchell. She married Rex Nixon Oct. 16, 1920 at Chariton. Surviving are one son, Bernard, and one daughter, Mrs. Roger Stevens, both of Burlington; one brother Russell Mitchell of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Olga Keck of Bonaparte and Mrs. Hazel Goben of Udell; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
