Description	:	She was a daughter of Thomas B. Hamlin and Ann Skinner out of Georgetown District, South Carolina. Her parents were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Georgetown, South Carolina having left there in 1818. She was first married to Samuel Munnerlyn a son of James Munnerlyn and Ann Grier. This union took place before 1842 with the birth of their first child Sarah. To this union were three children; Sarah Ann, Frances Cornelia and Samuel J. Munnerlyn. To this union were three children; Sarah Ann, Frances Cornelia and Samuel J. Munnerlyn. Samuel Munnerlyn her spouse died around 1845 and she married a second time to Benjamin Franklin Brockinton son of John Brockinton and Sarah Nesmith. This union took place between 1850 and 1853. She was mother to at least eight children from this union; Martha Fowler, Mary Alvania, Benjamn Franklin, Jr, Belton O'neil, J. Wilfall, Beauregard, E. Olivia, and Thomas H. Brockinton. The name Brockinton often spelled Brockington. With her middle initial "G" comes some confusion for the name. The name has been said to be Grier and by others Gamble. The name Grier is in her family line on her mother's side of the family with her great-grandmother Jean Grier Skinner. She also has a sister Sarah Grier Hamlin who married William Adolph King. The name Gamble is among a half-nephew of her father, John William Ferdon Gamble. At this time the author has not seen any proof for her middle name; sources for this name have been hearsay.
