Mrs. Cox, a life long resident of Licking County, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio) She was born May 20, 1909 in Newark, Ohio to the late Rusk M. and Mayme (Fry) Ingman. Mrs. Cox was employed at the John J. Carroll Department Store during the 1940's and 50's. She took up painting later in life and flowers were her favorite subject. She received local honors for her paintings and several of them are held in private collections. Mrs. Cox was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newark. She was instrumental in the Newark Art Association and enjoyed collecting Heisy horses. She is survived by a son, Larry B. (Kay) Cox of Hebron; grandchildren, Jeffrey B. (Melody) Cox, Shari E. Goodwin and Gregory R. (Jennifer) Cox; great-grandchildren; Ashlee E. Goodwin, Michael C. Goodwin, Chauncey R. Cox, Samuel W. Cox, Tiffany D. Cox, Timothy (Nancy) Woodford and Daniel (Lori) Woodford; two great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Donna R. Johnson; and a nephew, Stanley R. Ingman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester B. Cox; and by a brother and sister-in-law, Oren F. and Elizabeth Ingman.
