Her middle name is the family name of her father's mother Susannah Irby, and this name (which was also carried by her sister) Martha gave to her daughter. Martha Winn married William McRoberts in 1808 in Kentucky, probably in Fleming Co. where Martha's parents John and Myrtilla still resided until they too moved to Ohio about 1810. In "A Centennial History of Champaign County, Ohio" (1902) the biography of Martha's son-in-law James Rawlings reports that his future wife Susannah Irby McRoberts was born in 1810 while her... Martha Winn married William McRoberts in 1808 in Kentucky, probably in Fleming Co. where Martha's parents John and Myrtilla still resided until they too moved to Ohio about 1810. Rawlings (b. ca. 1832; d. 1905) ------James Harrison Rawlings (b. ca. 1841; d. 1908; enlisted with his brother Douglas during the Civil War as a private in Company G of 134th Ohio Infantry; applied for an invalid pension 17 March 1888 and received certificate 445034; his widow received certificate 643470); ------Jane Elizabeth Rawlings (1833-1923) ------Thomas Rawlings (b. ca. 1837); ------Douglas Winn Rawlings (1843-1894); he is listed as a volunteer from the Urbana area of Champaign County who served in the Civil War ("The History of Champaign County," 389). Records show he first served in a 3 month unit as a private in Company H of the 86th Ohio Infantry; he then reenlisted as a private in Company G of the 134 Ohio Infantry Regiment (National Guard). He filed an application for an invalid pension on 19 Oct. 1889, and received certificate 906187. His widow received certificate 450313. - Samuel H. McRoberts (b. 1812); - John Winn McRoberts (b. abt. 1813, Champaign Co., Ohio; d. 4 Apr 1896, Mankato, Jewell Co., Ks.; he married Sarah Caldwell 26 Aug 1834). The small cemetery the east of line the section by the roadside. The six gravestones identified in 1930 in the Winn Cemetery are all relatives. - Myrtilla, wife of John Winn, Sr. died Aug. 1, 1822, aged 58 yrs. - Charles Winn died Aug. 17. 1847, aged 47 years. - Myrtilla, daughter of J and M Winn died Sept. 2, 1840, aged 40 yrs (evidently Chas. and Myrtilla were twins) - Martha daughter of J and M, wife of Wm. McRoberts died Dec. 19, 1848, aged 58 yrs. - Susana I., daughter of J and M wife of Aquilla Bishop, died Sept. 28, 1823, aged 31 yrs. (Martha and Susana were daughter of John Winn) - William McRoberts died Oct. 17, 1860, aged 71 yrs.
