Description	:	Obituary: Mrs. Martha Jane (Kirton) Burgett [i.e., Borchert], second daughter of Thomas and Susannah Kirton Jr. She was born near Dallas, Iowa November 18, 1867, and passed away at Broadlawns Hosptial, Des Moines, Iowa on February 2, 1934, at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to George Brown, of Ottumwa, Iowa, in the year 1888. ... Read More	Obituary: Mrs. Martha Jane (Kirton) Burgett [i.e., Borchert], second daughter of Thomas and Susannah Kirton Jr. She was born near Dallas, Iowa November 18, 1867, and passed away at Broadlawns Hosptial, Des Moines, Iowa on February 2, 1934, at the age of 66 years, 2 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to George Brown, of Ottumwa, Iowa, in the year 1888. To this union three children were born: Harry and George, of Des Moines, Iowa and Sidney Brown deceased. The husband and father passed away July 6, 1893. In April 1902, she was united in marriage to Henry Burgett [Borchert] of Dallas, Iowa. To this union six children were born, three dying in infancy. Those surviving are Charles Burgett, Walter Burgett and Mrs. Mary (Burgett) Booth, all of Des Moines, Iowa. Her father, mother and sister, Mrs. Mary Tickel, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her husband and five children, fifteen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Grace Elliott of Des Moines, Iowa, besides a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the home of Elmer Tickel, Sunday, February 4, 1934 at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Henn, pastor of Dallas Methodist E. Church. Burial was made in the Dallas Cemetery. –Newspaper is unknown
