Read More	The Severyite Severy, Kansas Thursday, October 14, 1915 page 1 Martha Jane Osborn Martha Jane McHatton ws born in Schuyler County, Illinois, on July 2, 1834, and passed from this life at her home in Piedmont on Oct. 4, 1915, aged 81 years, 3 months and 2 days. She was married to Edward Campbell Jan. 22, 1855 and he departed this life in 1863 in Lynn county, Kansas. To this union five children were born, three daughters and two sons, of which two daughters preceded her to the Great Beyond. She united with the Christian church in 1886 and was a faithful follower of Jesus and until death claimed her. Through all suffering she trusted her saviour and spoke several times of being ready and willing to go. On Aug. 10, 1869, she was married to John Osborn of Piedmont. She leaves to mourn her loss, a loving husband, two sons and one daughter, Henry of Howard, Edward, of Eureka, and Lizzie, of Stafford, all of which were here several days during her last illness, also two brothers and one sister in Illinois who were not able to come, 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, besides a host of friends. The funeral was conducted from the Christian church at 1 p.m. by her pastor Rev. Rain Roberts and interment at the Forrest cemetery.
