Description	:	Martha Jane Risser, 56, 2301 East Second, Bloomington, died Saturday at the Bloomington Hospital. She was a native of Burnettsville, Ind., born Dec. 9, 1914, the daughter of Joe and Jessie Faye Tillett Risser. She was a graduate of Monticello High School in the Class of 1932 and Western College at Miami, O. She received her masters degree at Indiana University. She first taught in Burnettsville and was a teacher and principal of the Monticello High School before coming to Bloomington in 1946 as an instructor in the School of Education and as a critic teacher in English at University School. She... Read More	Martha Jane Risser, 56, 2301 East Second, Bloomington, died Saturday at the Bloomington Hospital. She was a native of Burnettsville, Ind., born Dec. 9, 1914, the daughter of Joe and Jessie Faye Tillett Risser. She was a graduate of Monticello High School in the Class of 1932 and Western College at Miami, O. She received her masters degree at Indiana University. She first taught in Burnettsville and was a teacher and principal of the Monticello High School before coming to Bloomington in 1946 as an instructor in the School of Education and as a critic teacher in English at University School. She latter became assistant professor of education and was recently counselor at University School. She had also been director of student activities at University School. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Bloomington and the Presbyterian Church in Monticello, St. Margaret’s Guild of the Trinity Church, the Tri Kappas, Delta Kappa Gamma and Phi Lambda Theta sororities, Monroe County teachers Association, Indiana State Teachers Association, the National Education Association and the Bloomington Altrusa Club.
