She had been confined there since July 12; Widow of Burch T. Penn, who died in 1951, she resided at 154 East Walnut Street, City. She was born June 21, 1899, in Highland County. She was the daughter of Henry C. and Elizabeth Elton Sanders. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Thompson officiating and burial following in Hillsboro Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Henry Penn, Chillicothe; two aunts, Mrs. Margaret Elton and Miss Sally McLaren and one uncle, Roy McLaren, all of Hillsboro; and one grandchild. She was a graduate of New Vienna High School and attended Miami University from 1919 to 1921. She took additional schooling at Wilmington College, Miami University and Ohio University in the early 1950's. She taught in Dayton Schools for one year, 1921-22; Samantha, 1943-44; New Vienna 1944-46; Fairfield 1947-56; and Hillsboro, Washington Elementary School 1956-62.
