Funeral Services for MARTHA JANE LANFORD, who passed away Tuesday, June 28, 1938 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Lanford of Cedar Springs Road, will be conducted at 5 o'clock Wednesday, June 29, 1938 at the Pacolet Station Presbyterian Church by the Revs. L. B. Metts, E. R. Mason and R. H. Purnell. Interment will be in the Pacolet Station Cemetery. Nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Mrs. Lanford was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Sloan and was a native of Pacolet, SC. She was married to W. O. Lanford in 1891 and to this union was born two children, H. S. Lanford and Mrs. H.H. Lanford of Spartanburg, SC. Besides her two children, she is survived by two step-children, Mrs. H. L. Sellars and W. M. Lanford and 10 grandchildren. Mrs. Lanford had been a member of the Pacolet Station Presbyterian Church since childhood. The body will be at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Lanford until the hour of service. She was 74 years of age at demise and interment was in the Pacolet Methodist Cemetery. (Original obituary was rewritten to conform to Findagrave Rules by Record Hunter.)
