She married in 1908, (2) John Hendrix (buried at Red Top Primitive); they had one son: Curtis Allen Hendrix b. 1909, d. 1944 in Union Co., TN, who married Thelma Lee Haney b. 1 Jan 1910, d. 20 Oct 1990 in TN; they had 9 children. Martha & her son Curtis were among the first to be given notice in Nov 1942 when the Manhattan Project began to acquire land for the Kingston Demolition Range, later the Clinton Engineer Works and later Oak Ridge. They moved to a home on Brickyard Rd. in Powell owned by her son Andrew M. Gregory where she lived until her death.
